Good morning. It's Friday, October 30. Today's edition highlights updates affecting how people move through Eugene's parks and venues. There's new information on the construction project around Cuthbert Amphitheater, plus a heads-up on a November trail race scheduled at Frank Kinney Park. Alright, here's today's edition of your Eugene Lowdown.
Cuthbert Gets A Fresh Front Door
If you walk or bike Alton Baker Park regularly, keep your head on a swivel. Construction around Cuthbert Amphitheater starts this month, adding a 50-car lot, ADA path, lighting, and fencing, plus a more accessible south-side box office. Funding comes from the University of Oregon as part of the "2.Mo" land exchange. The goal is to wrap in early spring.
Fall Miles Are on the Calendar
Autumn Trails Eugene is bringing a late-fall run to Frank Kinney Park on November 8, with the race starting at 10:15 a.m. The event includes $5 discounts for youth ages 17 and younger and seniors 60 and older, giving runners one more reason to lace up for a crisp November outing.
