TrackTown's Favorite Uphill-Then-Downhill Tradition

If your Independence Day plans need more sneakers, the Rexius OTC Butte to Butte is back Saturday. Oregon Track Club's annual event features a 10K route from Spencer Butte to Skinner Butte, along with a 5K and walk option, giving runners and walkers a classic way to kick off the holiday.

Light of Liberty Set for Saturday

Springfield's holiday weekend comes with options. Light of Liberty takes over Island Park tomorrow from 4-10:30 p.m. with live music, kid activities, food vendors, and a 10 p.m. fireworks show. Tickets are $5 in advance at SUB or Jerry's, $8 online, $10 at the gate, and free for kids under 5.
