Eugene Lowdown This Weekend in Eugene: Art Fest, New Kids Camp
Everything Happening In Eugene In Your Inbox Twice A Week!
A free Sunday art takeover on 2nd Ave, plus a new kid-friendly storytelling camp rolling out the dice Monday.

Good morning. It's Friday, June 12. Consider this your reminder that June is when Eugene quietly becomes a choose-your-own-adventure book - with clay under your fingernails and a soundtrack of live music somewhere nearby. Bring sunscreen, curiosity, and maybe a spare tote bag. Alright, here's today's edition of your Eugene Lowdown.

Art Takes Over 2nd Avenue

Second Avenue gets a creative makeover Sunday as Clay Space and Whiteaker Printmakers team up for the free Second Avenue Art Fest. The outdoor event runs 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in the parking lot between Polk Street and Taylor Street, with more than 30 local artists, live demos, kids' clay activities and live music.

StoryQuest Summer Camp Starts Monday

If your kid likes make-believe with a side of dice, StoryQuest is ready. The new camp at Pudding Art Studio offers ages 8-12 a collaborative storytelling game inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, with simple mechanics and no experience needed. Sessions begin Monday, run Monday-Thursday mornings, and cost $120-$180 per week.
