Eugene Lowdown Dollar Bus Rides and Park Lunches
Everything Happening In Eugene In Your Inbox Twice A Week!
Free park days kick off in Eugene, LTD fares drop Wednesday, and Springfield wants you to help create a dance.

Good morning. It's Tuesday, June 30. Summer is officially in its "keep everyone busy" era: parks are rolling out free weekday hangouts (with lunch), and getting around is about to get cheaper. Consider this your gentle nudge to make a plan. Alright, here's today's edition of your Eugene Lowdown.

Parks, Crafts, Lunch, Repeat

Fun For All brings summer park energy to Acorn Park and Petersen Park every weekday through August 21. The free program offers games, crafts, arts and special events for kids and teens, with lunch served daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children 10 and under must attend with someone age 15 or older.

Tomorrow's Choreographer Is... You

Springfield Public Library turns the audience into the creative team tomorrow with "#instaballet: Create a Dance!" from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Fountain Plaza. In partnership with H.O.N.E.Y., the free all-ages event invites the community to help build a dance in real time with professional artists and live music.

LTD's Summer Sale Hits the Road

Starting tomorrow, Lane Transit District's Dollar Days of Summer cuts the cost of getting around for two months. Single rides drop to $1 and unlimited day passes to $2, with discounts also applying across EmX, RideSource, Rhody Express, Diamond Express and the LTD Connector through August 31.
