Everything Happening In Eugene In Your Inbox Twice A Week!
Live music, outdoor events, and so much more happening this weekend.  Get out and have fun!

Good morning. It's Friday, April 24. Consider this your friendly reminder that spring does not last forever, so say yes to the hike, the show, or both. From petals to punchlines, this weekend is lining up some feel-good ways to be a person in public. Alright, here's today's edition of your Eugene Lowdown:

Wildflower Festival Set for May 17th

Clear the calendar and charge the camera: the annual Wildflower Festival returns Sunday, May 17th, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Mount Pisgah Arboretum. The marquee event pairs botanist-led wildflower walks with live music and a major native plant sale. Wander 209 acres of ecosystems while helping fund trail maintenance and habitat restoration during peak camas and lupine season.

Shakespeare Meets Broadway Musical

Rose Children's Theatre brings "Something Rotten Jr." to Wildish Community Theater, mixing 1590s Shakespeare swagger with Broadway-style song-and-dance. Shows start Friday at 7 p.m., with Saturday performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., plus a Sunday 2 p.m. matinee. The run continues into early May with more evening and matinee options.
