Eugene Lowdown New Pub Opens Downtown Plus Breakfast Upgrades at 5th St Market
Everything Happening In Eugene In Your Inbox Twice A Week!
Hop Valley opens its new pub downtown, while Putt for the Pantry offers free mini golf with food donations.

Good morning. It's Friday, September 18. This weekend's vibe: eat something new, clink a glass downtown, and do one genuinely helpful thing before you disappear into your couch. Bonus points if that helpful thing involves mini golf and three cans of food. Alright, here's today's edition of your Eugene Lowdown.

Free Mini Golf With Food Donation

Willamalane's "Putt for the Pantry" runs today through Sunday at Camp Putt in Glenwood. Visitors who donate three cans of food per person can play one round of mini golf for free. Hours are today from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon-7 p.m. Donations benefit the Willamalane Adult Activity Center food pantry in Springfield.

Hop Valley Opens Pub at 5th Street Market

Hop Valley is back downtown with a new pub now open at 5th Street Public Market. The spot opened Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with a Ducks-themed rally from 4:30-9 p.m., plus a live DJ, giveaways, the Oregon Ducks mascot and cheer squad, and a full menu built for game-day hangs.

New Eatery Serves Breakfast, Tacos, and Coffee

If your ideal meal starts with coffee and somehow ends with quesabirria and dessert, Scrumdiddlyumtious is ready for you. The new Eugene spot at 5th Street Public Market serves burritos, tacos, tortas, breakfast all day, mangonada, baked goods, sweet treats, and a lineup of coffee drinks and fall specials.
